i have a 14 bolt rear with 5.13   that has a open or "newer" carrier ... is it interchangeable with older 14 bolt rear which have a closed kind carrier if u guys know what i m talking about  that u have to take the carrier out to weld the spiders.    thats what i have in the bogger but i have other rear that has 5.13 i just wanna swap the guts   , can i do that?

The 1973 UP Full Float 14 bolt is the same as a 93, and 03.........................the only thing they changed was the addition of the support ribs on the outside of the pumpkin housing....as well as disk brakes. But internally its the same as it always was.

After 38 years, nice to see GM hasnt changed this great axle. One of GM's best axles ever offered!!!
