how much lift for 40 inch tires?

how much lift roughly do i need for 40 inch tires? right now my bogger has 35s on it and they dont come close to rubbing i know it has like a 4-6" inch lift it has blocks in rear but over winter i want to be able to use 40s i know a shackle flip can add bout 6" and then i could use a block to make up for rest and then springs up front but how much do i need?

well if you have 35s with good room and say a 5" lift id say a 3 in body lift should make room, 40s only need 2.5 in more body clearence because theyre only 5" taller 2.5 in on to and 2.5 on bottom

oo lol its just its an explorer on a 80s chevy frame and theres alot ofwork involved in a bigger body lift

im sayin suspension lift it...2.5 inches of lift is all you need to clear 5 more inches of tire

I bet they would fit like it is!!! trim some off the fenders if ya have to I run 44s with about 6" of lift!

try getting cut out flares?the more lift spring you put in the rougher it will ride!

i dont think they may cutout flares these sport explorers came with factory flares

i got 40's on my truck with 8 inches of suspension and a lil fender trimming, no issues so far!
