04 crew cab 1/2 ton z71, my brother owned the truck befor me and he had 285s and he claims they didnt rub. he put 265s on it before i purchased it. i put a 2 inch torsion key and 2 inch rear block lift kit under it. My question is does anyone know FOR FACT if i can clear a 305 now? i dont wanna spend big bucks on tires to realize they dont fit lol THANKS  GotMud?

different generation, not entirely comparable

These are 285-70-17s on my 06, it has a 2 1/2 spring lift in the rear and  turned up bars up front (about 2 1/2 also).  I heard it hit plastic once at the dunes in reverse with the wheel turned a little, I think I caught the valance.  use a tire conversion chart to find out how tall the 305's will be (you need the aspect ration and rim size, it makes the height measurement) 305 is the width not the height.  they will be about 12" wide (mine are 11 and just miss in front of the tire.

just bring it to discount tire... get tires test fitted, put one on rim bolt it on see if it rubs, if it dont we dont charge, just try the next size smaller til something fits.

rim size matters too, a 285/70R15 is smaller than a 285/70R16 just FYI

I got some 315/75R17's out here if you wanna roll them upto it hahaha :P

ive had 285s and 305s on my 05 crewcab and neither rubbed  they were both the same size except the 305s were about half inch wider
