what do i need to build a 383 stroker?

to build a good quility 383 plan on spending between 2000 and 4000 depending on how much work u do urself what heads u do ect my heads alone were 2000 and my machining and short block was over 2000 just an idea to be honest i love my 383 but to do it agian i would build a 355 and put a lil nos on it same end result

only thing that i would need done for me is the machining on the block. other than that its just buying the parts and things i need to put it all together. cause im not new to buiding motors, and definately not my dad. and we have everything to put it all together so no worries there. and i figured if i could save up about 3500 i could have a good one

2000 on heads what kind are they. And as for nos what are you gonna do carry five bottles to a bog with you. Every time you push the button you bottle pressure is going down and the less gain your going to get. I'd personally rather have the motor so I have the power all the time.

 i would go 355 or if you want a good running small block chevy motor i would go 377.. 400 block with 350 stroke. i ran a few of these in hot rods i used to run and had real good luck with them, they rev and have alot of power

its not cheap but you wont build it for that! 492 hp on dyno it rips my cut 44s

i know i wont build it for that! thats why im interested if i get my funds  but i gotta play the waiting game for a few more days. but if it rips 44's then it'll make my 36's fly lol possibly my 10 bolts to hehe

if you want RPM's put a 283 crank in a 327 block and sticker a turbo or a super charger on it. run upto 9 - 10,000 rpm



519 hp at 7,400 rpm and an even 400 lb-ft of torque at 6,300 rpm
