this up coming year i plan on running rockwells but have been told gmcs are better becuz you can make a better d shaft angle out of them. but i have also read that toploaders being that the pinion is higher also makes d shafts straighter making better angles. also rocks are easy hell to find parts for and gmcs being people can get them so cheap parts are sometime hard to come by. ive also heard ya have to have at least 12 inches of lift and have to run 44 inch or bigger tires. well my engine is actually moved back a pretty good amount i know at least like 4 inches but can get some pics for a better view of it but id prolly still wanna go with 12 inches of lift to run 44s. was also told ladder bars are a must for trucks with rocks. as of now i have a 327 350th and 203 tcase but ill prolly swap the 203 for a 208 maybe even a divorced tcase ??? and the 327 prolly will get swapped with a 350. but i really dont know alot about rocks and cant seem to find much on rocks so someone gimme some info

Imo they are gonna be way to heavy. A 14 bolt and a 60 up front will handle the 44's with no problems. Tractor tires are another story

with they gmc 2.5 tons they have 6.17 gears and would work better with 44s but would work great with 57s. but thats me!

GMC vs Rockwell.... Rockwell hands down, every time! Parts are easier to come by, tons of aftermarket components for them, and the shaft angles ROCK! GMC angles actually suck, they're no different from any other face-load axle. But, this is just my opinion... all be it, a great one! lol ++peace

them comp trucks weigh prolly 1/2 of what the big trucks that are running rocks. thats like comparing apples to oranges

betterbeaters

I bet them comp trucks weigh about as much as mine mabye a little less.  and even if they weigh less they still have 500 hp on most of the guys out there...

Ok then there's orange crush. Full size 44s and bbc. Chances are if your breaking 60 parts its because all your doing is bogging it and no maintenance.
