ok so my power went out from the storm we had a few weeks ago. consumers came out to fix it around 8pm or so. i went to my neighbors down the street till about 1am. came home power was on, great. go to let my dog out to do his business on that side of the house the next day. noticed my meter is upside down, and the lock is cut, its on the ground. so i call consumers and tell them. the lady laughs at me and says i must be stealing power, and someone will come out to investigate, i told her i didnt do it so im not too worried about it.

a few days goes by, nothing. so i call again. talked to another lady that says their is someone scheduled to come out and look at it. i told her that i noticed the meter running backwards(because its upside down), about 15 hours after they left, to establish that i didnt do it. well a few more days go by. i email them, get a reference code to document it. i have been in contact 3 times since it happened. no one has been out to look at it. then they estimate my bill, which comes to 175, and the bill is usually $75-100... anyone ever have this happen? they busy, or trying to get one over on me?

sometimes when they cant read it or whatever reason  they will estimate it then will deduct on the next bill ... i know i hate this bs too

i get that part. the problem isnt with the bill, i looked at my other months, and realized it would average close to what they estimated.

what im baffled about is why they flipped the meter to begin with...

its a family buisness so if you call and complain your just gonna get his kid..

Ya I work out there and sometimes they get on a real stupid streak and the wheels turn very slow, they dont care its all good to them long as theyre not late for breaktime

yeah right!! im not stepping outta line. i tried to contact them 3 times now about the problem. its them thats losing money, not me.

i should crank up the a/c lol just kidding!!

Seriously flip it right side up. Your meter is spinning backwards right now and even though they did it can you prove it in court when Consumers comes out to put the seal back on the meter and see's that it is upside down and calls the police and charges you with theft of services? Consumers is some bastards when it comes to their money!

not touching it. ive established that i have done nothing wrong. ill tell them politely thru a lawyer to piss up a rope! and they still havent came out. i called them and told them it was upside down, so im sticking to my story. if i flip it back, then they come out, my story changed. not giving them the satisfaction of having the upperhand. i havent done anything wrong.

notta 1... meter read is scheduled for the 24th, i am going to call and ask them to do an actual read, because how can they estimate off a meter that runs backwards...

maybe that will hurry them up?
