started as a bone stock 2wd suburban that i slammed 6inchs , i drove it that way for most of the summer then i decided that i didnt like the way it rode so why not lift it!!

rough-n-ready86

ford coils in front and doubled rear leafs with a shackle flip,
custom front radius arms ( still need to wrap them in plate steel)
38" tsl's
this will be my daily driver!!

KORNBREAD

could you show more pics on your fab work for the coil and bucket set up for the front. Like what parts from what year ford you used and how you set them in and welded them up.(also how you mounted the radius arms) Reason I ask a friend of mine was just asking me about a month ago if I had or seen any pics of someone doing this same exact swap on a 2wd 80's suburban. I cant find any good ones online. I would really appreciate that. Also cant wait to see this done. Gonna look mean as hell! Great set up!
LIVE HARD, BOGG HARD, DIE MUDDY!!!

i used coil buckets from balistic fab on the axle and the stock coil buckets at the frame
I will try to get some more detailed pics up tomorrow

KORNBREAD

Ok cool. Yeah he wants to use the buckets, coils, and torsion bars off a old ford. What year ford make did those buckets come off of?

If your gonna go out, go all out. If your gonna go down, go down in flames!

the coil springs are a great way to go if you want to get alot of lift, with the 4" ford coils i'm looking at about 10 inchs of lift on my burb, i also have a set of ford 8" coils if i decided i want to go even taller down the road. but i figure this should be tall enough for a daily driver. lol

tried to get some better pics of the coil setup.
still have to wrap the radus arms with plate steel for added strenght and also gusset the mounts at the frame and also add a track bar to limit side to side movement
but the hard part is dun. lol

now i just need to do my brake lines, get drive shafts extended, and run new exhaust
and build new bumpers for the front and rear  and a full lenght roof rack.

rough-n-ready86

got some more work done to the burban, i got the tranny , transfer and shifter installed.
also put on brand new headers and exhaust.
and got the track bar mocked up
