does anyone run a high flow pump on there rigs  with the radiator in the back or is a stock parts store remanufactured one sufficient???

I like the high flow electric ones, if the motor does get warm , you can just shut it down and leave the water pump on and it cools right down.

yup i was thinkin that  is in the future but as of right now my wife wont speek to me over buying a engine then payin my neighbor to fix the hood up   was more or less  wanted to kno if a stock waterpump will do it or not  theres about 12 feet or probbly less in 1 1/2 tube  going to the back  i dont wanna cook this new to me engine       also was wonderin to run a thermostat or not or a restricter cut out t stat  like i use to do to my demo cars

I think the high flow pumps pump the fliud through too quickly to let the engine cool well.  if you wired a temp sensor and relay on an electric high flow pump maybe it would work. but for me when I'm driving my truck on the trail, i don't want to have to worry about temp all the time.  Temp issues should be the exception not the rule.

I have a rear mounted radiator with a stock water pump and it works great, just need to get all the air out.
