spring perch done .....delete please thanks

anyone ever repair a rear spring perch that has blowed off the frame...got some ides already just lookin for more before i start haching stuff..

had bad week end some one put water in my gas and as i was pulling out tank, noticed truck was sittin funny and found that perch blowed off...

bad bad weekend,all input apprricated..kinda got it figured was goin drill out 4 studs, and plate frame front with flat stock and put c channel inside re bolt and weld???
frame is horribly hit have to run plate atleast 2 to 3 foot....

like the rivets arent on there? or the frame is so gone that its not connected anymore? is a new frame in order??

yes rivets are intact it ripped and rotted away from frame....will be looking for a frame ,but i gotta patch it and drive it till i get another dd

the frame ripped up about a 1/2 lower then the top two rivits..so top two connected bottom two and the two under are pulled out 1 or so away from whrere it should be cause frame rotted around.

make sense or did i ramble that

ok so got some angle iron 4 x2 in. for outside and 4 in flat stock for inside its 8th in thick.....now think will drill out the rivits put steel in then i will grade 8 bolt it and do some sort of stich with welder.....sound like itl work??

the sprin perch is not ripping away from the frame.. .it's taking the frame with it in pieces...the bottem is totally torn off and cracked and peeled 3/4 of the way up the side of the frame,

any pictures of this? if it isnt rusty i dont think fixing it should be too bad? is the gas tank still out?

it's because of the rust that the frame is tearing apart

ok so i put a plate on the inside of the frame ...with two bottom rivits drilled out and two extra holes in frame for alignment ...

now when i drill the the remaining rivits will there be any spring force or somthing moving it.... i have both sides off the ground supported at the frame..dont look like any tension is on it can move springs little... just wondering? thanks

no it should be fine, with the axles near full droop, the hanger will stay put once drilled out. torch works a lot faster though.

torch would be faster..have 2 brand new sets of victors but no tanks

got it done..looks safer and dont move..only 2 rolls duct tape and about 20 some them there self tappers from chris!!!!!!

so got that all good now new lines diff. carb..the whole reason i started this is because i thought had water in the tank and was running poorly..

seem start OK and run until its warm..then push throttle and don't do nothing .. thought it was a spark issue changed some elec. lines new wires,cap,coil, different ing. module,vac reg.and had jjay re time everything..runs like a top in garage get out on street warms up and wont go nowhere ..neutral is ok.. truck stops running with out warning.. put in nut. rolls starts back. in drive falls back on her face.....its reacts like when u drive a stick and ur like 2 gears to high and wont do crap..
so with a 700 r 4 anything make it do that sometimes mainly when warm??

thanks im lost i thought was warming up and loosing spark off coil...and i was wrong could be a trans issue?
