 ==thanks All!
Well been working on it a little. Got front clip back on, raidator mounted, large trans cooler mounted ,engine chain down,battery mounted, front bump stops in, cross brace over rear drive shaft notched an remounted, front drive shaft took out to upgrade to 1410 joints an got rid of double vilosity joint. mounted trans temp gage. ready for fuel if it only had a front end under it.  :( Took it out, striped it to just a housing. Haveing housing milled an fab up mount to fix the two stud problem I had. O-so close  ==wgm

holy wtf did you have goin on with your front axle man

and whats the chain for? limit engine movement ???

Axle had outers cut off - turned center section to limit some drive shaft angle - outers welded back on - shim welded on spring plate too fix sping angle - witch leaves the two studs at the wrong angle - this is how I got axle - if you see in pic they bolted square stock to axle at wrong angle and fixed by bending square stock in rear adding threaded rod- - front treaded rod in axle front stud hole - locked down square stock with nut - then bent threaded rod too fix wrong angle. This my have worked for them but I know it has been bugging me sence I got axle. I new I had to do something an never adressed it till now.  ==hmmm  will be strong when it comes back from its surgery

Chain -- is to do just that help limit engine movement chained both sides - headers are  really close on passanger side down by frame. Just figuered this would help things  Or crack my head  ==idunno I  love all  input. Let me have it guys good or bad idea on chain ?

Bowtie972

I dont see anything wrong with the chain.   I have one on mine, with no problems.  Mine has just a tiny bit of slack to allow a little flex.  Some GM cars came factory in the 60's with a limiting cable on the motor. My 67 Impala did.

looks good idea on the chains  ya dont realize how much the rubber mounts let stuff  move around

the chains are fine and will work great I know a few people who do that with no issues

Well poured fuel  in fuel cell the other night. Only had one very small drip from a fuel filter. Got new one on the way. Fired engine up tonight. O such a sweet sound BBC. Still have to pull distr-cap to put new msd rev limiter cap on. Dam was it nice to hear it run. Love the new electric fuel pump ,new carb. fired engine with first turn of the key. Still have to set timing. replace drain plug seal on transmission pan its got slow drip.
