that dose not make sence to run that much comp and only run it at 6000 rpm. bone stock big block turns that. must people i know turn all there big blocks at 7000rpm all day long.

My MSD is set at 6000, just cuz ya can doesnt always mean ya should. And its a forged bottom end, it would prolly hit 7500 easy

if it makes peak power at 7500 (just saying) your not even getting close to what it really has. mine peaks hp at 7000 turn it to 7500+ all day. why? it sounds better! lol

as for what cam you should i use call a machine shop or a cam comp.. and ask for ideas or tips using the info on parts you have.

Most big blocks as stock shouldnt turn more than 4500 rpms. They are kniwn for tourqe not high r,s
my buick bb is reved at 5500. I was told it will run 7500 easy, all forged and studded lower end.

I agree with the previously stated... call a machine shoo or a cam company for ideas...
Tell them ur specs and what u are looking to get out of it and they will probabky be your best bet!

BAD APPLE

Had a stock big block in my truck for a couple play days after I blew up my good engine it turned close to 6 so they can rpm high at stock form just not good for them its easy to over rev a stock big block
no rest for the wicked

I was always a small block fan till i got my firat big block for my new build. It was a 455 olds all stock with a sthal and some gears and i tell u what... i liked it a lot. Now i got a 455 buick that is built up a bit and it make some power. But i still only turn it at 5500 and it does sweet... big bkocks got tourq!
