Welcome back to we got mud!! And Congrats on the 2 month old!!  It don't matter how long you take with your project, the main thing is that when its done, its done right and the way you want it to turn out.  Good luck!.

well pay roll has been screwed up at work and i havent been home much, but just got my back pay check and made up my mind on the build buying a welder, helmet, new grinder, ect. this weekend as i get weekends off for the first time in over a year and trying to find 63 inch spring for the rear will try to redo rear sup. by inboard shocks and make a custum flat bed, and install longer springs and my shackel flip sat. will see how it gose

question should i move axle a little forward and cut rear of spring hanger off or move springs as far back as i can on the current frame length...?

if you can move the tires up to the cab. if your going to 44 later  leave enuff room for them. it will make it  short  and jump through them holes like a frog in heat.  ;D  cut the rest of the frame off.  you will have one mean ass ride like that.
