awd transmission out of astro van

pulled a tranny out of the astro van and man it a b*t%h now i m worried about putting it back in when it gets rebuilted  how do u remove the torsion bar cross member?

idk how good or safe the idea is but my buddy chuck used a grinder with a cutoff wheel chopped it out then welded it back in and fishplated it.

i unbolt crooss bar  portapower them down block 1 side with 4x4 the other a 4x4 plus a 2x4 be extra careful they can pop out
