Picked up this decent "Eddie Bauer" Bronco II for $500
Put a fuel pump in it and a regulator and have been driving it daily for about 2 months. I've had a few of these damn things and love em. Got lucky with 4.10 gears with a limited slip...
The first one I had was the black 88 I had for a while and it surprised me the first time I took it off road and everytime after that. The first time I'm pretty proud of since I pulled 2 fullsize chevys out and then went through where I pulled them from and everywhere else around there with no problem. Lol.
Anyway, I got this completely stock and even "lowered" since the leafs were broke and bending upwards and the coils were SHOT! The 235s were in the wheel well.
This was right before I pulled it in to do some work

Had an 88 ranger 5 speed, 2.9L had pretty much no power, but the driveline woul go through anything.

We have had nothing but good luck with 2.9s run high r's and are almost bulletproof

My 2.9 in my black 88 was bulletproof until it got thirsty...lol

well, got the front switched over and added the fenders. need to get it painted. hopefully this weekend ill have the body lift on and some decent rims/tires or at least tires.   Cant wait for Silver Lake this year!!!  at least now I wont have to worry about ruining another set of fenders.

This is the old core support that was rusting away

This is the brand new old style core support being installed

Here is a little test fitting going on

And this is what I have now..

Very cool build. I'm going tomorrow to pick mine up. These are stout little wheelers, I'm excited to get working on it.

Oh, slightly jealous of the '70s crew cab in the background too.
