you can have a legal bogg if you get the right paper work done!  its a pain in the ass and most people wont do it but yes it can be 100% legal  just have to do what your township asks for if they will do it!

only way you can have a legal bog is if you make the wetspot. if its a swamp. or someplace that holds water and stays wet enough to play in its not legal. if theres cat tails or "aquatic vegatation" you can be fined by the state.

i couldnt even move some trees with a tractor becuase some cocksucker neighbor called the deq and i was in the floodplain the state told me the only work we could do from then on out was by hand.

MY POINT WAS THEY MAKE IT SO EXPENSIVE AND APPLY SO MANY RULES  IT ENDS UP COSTING WAY TO MUCH MONEY FOR A BUNCH OF HILLBILLYS LIKE US TO COME UP WITH ...THERE FOR USUALLY THE LOSS OF ANOTHER SPOT TO PLAY ...THIS IS WHY MORE AND MORE BOGGS ARE BECOMING PRIVATE OR IF YOU DONT HAVE A TRUCK YOU DONT GET IN THE GATE ...MOST OF THE PROBLEMS COME FROM BITCHY NEIGHBORS AND MOST OF THAT IS CAUSED WHEN THE SPETATORS ARE ENTERING OR LEAVING ..AS FAR AS WET LANDS GO UR ASKING FOR A BIG TICKET IF U GO THERE ALL OF US THAT WHEEL KNOW THE PRICE YOU HAVE TO PAY TO PLAY!!  ....IMO

It all comes down to Money man. If you don't charge people... then it's legal. When you try to make money on it, it becomes a commercial event... and commercial events are regulated.

you hold your event...it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission....the first time they will just warn ya...if you don't piss off the neighbors you can usually get a couple bogs n...not exactly legal but it is playing within the rules

we been shut down state police come every time cant bog anymore trying to find someone who knows about these papers!

yep the neighbors got pissed off so they called the twp and then they said that he was improperly using HIS property, and yes i got shut down by the state cops one time because the neighbors complained, and it didnt help that there was a bunch of drunks because one of the cops that came out was a very attractive female and kept getting hooted and hollered at.
