How much HP can a stock 700-r4 take? What do I need to do to beef it up? Running 600-700 hp without blower, going to add a 6-71.

TH 400 built.  With the lower 1st gear added to make up the diff of the 700 low range.  That'll be my next tranny.  With about a 3500 stall.  Diff planets and sprags and valve body work etc.

I got a 2wd fixed yoke th400 for $150 and a hd 4x4 th400 for $200. Good when pulled but if you take it to Ryan I'm sure it will hold whatever you can throw at it.

Powerglide with that much HP you only need one gear

you can build a 700 a 350 or a 400 to handle that much power, just depends on your pocket book, the 400 has been done the most, but anything a 350 can do so can a 700

I need to get her rebuilt, just don't have alot of cash, and I know turbo 400s are cheaper that 700s. Anyone wanna trade? 1998 rebuilt with recipt. Great trans. 30 spline

700 and powerglide has 27 spline, TH350/400 is 32 spline.

if your talking the converter input spline there's 2 versions of teh 700.. earlt ones had 27 and teh later and stronger had 30

Yes mines the later 30 spline.
