need some carb help

i just scraped a 1975 tandem axle ford 900 the other day.  im unsure on which motor it had in it (thinkin a 391)  but it had a holley carb on it that i pulled off.  has a governer kit on it but i cant seem to find any info on it to see what exact this carb is.   the numbers i found that i thought would id it for me were  04HE-9510 CA,   List 6822, 442.  there was a 7133 on one metering block and 7136 on the second metering block.   it looks like there may be another number on the one metering block but i cant make it out.

just curious if anyone anyone has any idea what this is.    to late to call holley and see so i thought id post it up here

looking around online  i ran across a few sites  that mentioned a 391  that was in these old trucks.  it was originally a boom truck converted to flat bed.   we were going to pull the motor and keep it (brother in law is a big ford guy) but  the motor wasnt what we thought it was.  you could have  put in a truck but  from the looks of it  you would of had to run the manual trans that was in this truck becuase the bellhousing was alot bigger then what it would be on a bb or sb ford.   maybe im wrong about the motor tho.   didnt pull any numbers off of it before we scrapped it.

im not a ford guy myself lol so I dont know a whole lot about em but thats all I could come up or it was off a 460bb but I dont know lol I would of thought they would of put a big block in a boom truck but thats real hard to find out

alot of those old big fords had 352 clevland engines. yes 352 no typo lol and it should be a 600cfm carb if that helps ya any.

If it works good and dont need a rebuild Id give u 20 bucks for it whenever im up that way?  Unless someone else wants it, there to bad of carbs

my guess is it would probably need to be gone thru.  its been sitting for awhile  just not sure how long.   been with the company that gave me the truck for 3 years and i know its sat longer then that

for you guys saying some  things here are wrong. the carb would 600cfm dose the carb have  square box on the side,by the linkage, if so its a governed carb not good for anything but big truck motor.  made for the motor to run around 4500 rpm. there is no such engine of 352 cleveland its 351.  352 is fe ford, (352,360,390,391,427,428) thay have a different bell house then sbf, bbf.

yes that's true that was my bad. The 352 was an fe motor. But there is no such thing as a "bbf" ford has never made a big block. 429 460 were 385 series engines

385 was the series just like gm has the mark series of big blocks and yes there are big block fords, if a 429 460 514

Ford never claimed the "big block" like gm did it was just a 385 series. Its a common misconseption. If the 385 series were all "big blocks" the 351m and 400 would be to as they are in the 385 family. The term bigblock is basically slang.

I never said all 385 series was big blocks, like I said earlier I'm definitely no ford guy, but am willing to learn more than what I already do know about them, but i find I hard to believe that ford would never make a big block, and just because they didnt advertise it as one doesnt mean that its not

This is technically (partially) true. Ford never considered any OE motor a BB or SB... that is GM lingo. However, Ford Racing Division (SVO) has since coined the 385 series (429/460), their "Big Block". The 514 was a bored 460, not an original cast. The only "true" Ford Big Block would be a 385 series crate motor.

The 351M/400 & 400 CID motors are not 385's... they're 335 series.

But, this is technically speaking. lol
