Got it today! Just cleanin er up n changin the oil, lift comming soon, oh and a new engine, this one is knockin, drive it till the 1st then a new engine goes in! wahooooo!

Nah this ones a keeper, I need a good reliable 4x4 and finally found one, gonna see about getting a locker for the rear also

Wast of time mike, 302 is going into my 84 ranger, this is a daily driver so a 2.9 is going back in it, took it out wheelin yesterday on some hills and trails behing my house....that's when the motor started to knock.... o well, drive it nice till I can afford a new motor and have a buddy swap it for me

Well its been over a month lol, bought a rolling chassis with an engine last weekend, and thismorning before work I got the engine outta the frame and started to tear it down for rebuild, its gonna be just a .030 over new engine, gonna pickup an engine stand in the next day or 2 then start taking it apart the rest of the way and send it to get hottanked and bored out and have the heads redone (if I can get the manifolds off!) Here are a couple pics



Engine is actually really clean inside so that's a good sign

well engine is at the machine shop, heads were deciveing i took them off and look what i found...




wasnt happy but didnt really care either shouldnt expect much for what i paid for the chassis and engine heres somore pics of the engine and heads, taking the heads to my dad tomorrow so he can get the manifolds off then the heads are going to the machine shop

bet the heads are cracked.  90% of those come off cracked...I learned the hard way with my 2.9

i got good ones on my engine if need be, im not worried about it, and hd  there is about 10 people in line lol

gonna stop into the machine shop tomorrow and see how everything is going, hpefully ill have it back next week then ill order my cam liftters and pushrods and timing chain set and get er put togethe, gonna go to the shop in the am and attemp to fix the sandblaster if i can find all of the parts so i can blast my oil pan and valve covers n get those painted, havnt decided what color im going to paint the engine yet...thinking purple with a dark grey pan and valve covers
