C'mon over Jason, I could use some help or a couple pointers.

I'll swing by this weekend

Rob69-That is the same problem i had with mine. This what i did.

What type of headers are those? If possible I'd like mine to run forward also. I'd like to run the exhaust out the front of each fender.

rob69

i got them online from cl so not sure. They are just long tube big block ford headers flipped.

Well, the motor is in its new position and transferase clears now. Going to finish welding motor mounts and start making cross member.

Have to update this!

Cross member is done, swapped out drag links and reinforced it to accept the hydro steering- gotta get new tie rod ends, put orbital valve on still. Got the rear driveshaft made, gotta put the u joints in it still. All the msd ignition is in and mounted besides I gotta look up pro comp 8000 distributor to see which wire is what to run it to the msd ignition. Probably some I'm forgetting but I'll update pics soon

The last pic of the cross member- I had to mount it on an angle to match the angle of the transmission mount so there wouldn't be tension always on it. I could've just changed the angle of the bottom piece of C channel to match it and welded the sides straight but was too late. Don't think either way would've been any better than the other anyway. Built in drive shaft loop in it too. That's why it's so low.

rob69

Looks good. Going to get it done for TGW?

989F150904

If it was ready I couldn't take it. I have surgery on my elbow the 25th. So I doubt I'll be wheeling it for at least a while. Dang it...

rob69

Oh that sucks! Good luck with the surgery

The explorer body?? Nope- it's still on the frame where it's gonna stay. Haven't worked on it in a while though. My arm throbs real bad. I would like to get some more work done to it tho.

I've been healing up pretty good. I go back to work pretty soon. I'll be able to start getting some more work done on the truck soon now. Can't wait! It's been way too long.
