anyone else with grade school kids feel dumb while helping with their homework

   my 13 year old daughter just moved in with me from her moms (very excited) and while helping her with her home work tonight i was reminded of just how much i forgot from high school.  I got as far as calculus in high school and was a solid b student but while helping her with her pre algebra i had to go online just to get a refresher course.  it only reminded me that when i thought i was never gonna need to know this ever again in my life and the teacher told me i would he was actually was right lol.

  I got custody of my 13 yr old twins in November, and like you I'm very excited about it.  I helped the 1st few weeks with homework.  I tried to pull my hair out and relized that I'm bald already. lol  However my step son is just finishing college so when they need help they call him and he comes over and helps them.

Same here but not w my kids yet... I work at deaf school at the dormitory where kids stays during the week and goes home every weekends and so many time i have kids come to me for some help i m like crap i forgot all of em ha

same here 5th grade math is like pullin teeth around here i cant remember anya it   lol   always lookin in the book 2 c how its done but  weve noticed that  the way we do the math is wrong now they teach the kids a differnt way and all are anser are right but the way we should are daughter 2 get  it was wrong so she gets them wrong
