Coyote?

I was delivering mail out Hesperia way.. and I think I saw a Coyote... it looked like a huge fox..but not red..kind of grey with some brown in his long coat....maybe weighed around 85lbs?  It crossed the road in front of me and then kind of zigzagged around a field for awhile before going into the woods... He didn't really run he kind of galloped or loped...Coyote?  
 I know other carriers in our office have seen cougars and bears.. I had my cameraphone with me but I didn't want to miss a thing and kept my eyes glued to him.. I guess I was in awe to see such a huge wild dog..  the adventures of a rural mail carrier..AWESOME

sounds like a coyote we have 2 big foxs runnin round are place we c them every few days in the field across the rd from us

  I saw a bobcat one morning running along the saginaw river, through downtown Bay City.  Also seen a fox out back here at the house about 2 months ago.

85lbs thats a big coyote usually they are around 50 he musta had a good life lol

That's what I was thinking to(pretty big).  I usually see two or three while out deer hunting in Oakley.  Nothing. Cooler than observing the wild...hell I could watch squirrels for hours on end!

I was comparing him to the size of my sisters German SHorthair..he wasn't thick like her tho..I guess I am not good at guessing the weight of coyotes ..I knew it was bigger than a chihuahua..

ive seen a couple while hunting in the clare area. i tried to shoot one with my bow but they are smart . he knew i was there and stoped from a run and froze didnt know where i was but knew something wasnt right. if i would have had the range right i would hae had him.but i missed hit the ground right in front of him.id love to get one with my bow.my old neighbor got one with his gun in columbiaville a couple of years back he sees them all the time.
