Ok, can somebody please give me some ideas as to what the heck is going on? I'm being driven nuts by my dad worrying about a strange intermittent vibration that only happens at 20 and 45 miles an hour under light acceleration, or sometimes during cruising. This is the background info, 80k miles on the truck, carrier bearing was replaced last year along with U-joints, new shocks, and ball joint were put up front, doesn't seem to have any problems until the truck has warmed up. Can somebody please give me some ideas as to where to look?

Were the drive shafts marked when the joints were replaced? I have seen times when the drive shaft comes out of balance if the joints aren't aligned the same way they came apart.

Or, possibly a shaft weight came off? Wheel weight came off?

yeah, drive shaft was confirmed that is balanced by gotts in clarkston

dose it do it under hard acceleration?    dose it though a cod on the motor?  try this when get up 45 mph put into N and see if it gose away. sound like its in the motor or trans.

reaper1986

only under light acceleration or cruising, and only when the truck is warm, it does go away sometimes when the trucks shifted in neutral. but not always, the vibration feels like it's coming from the trans it's self, does any know what common issues with those trans?

Check trans fluid level,  sounds like it could be overdrive shake

Isn't tires, brand new tire were put on, the only closest thing I have found is that GM issued a TSB on the cab mounts.

rember where  quessing.

is it a 4x4 ?  could be in the axle shafts. front.

if not could be many things

if there sealed bearing packs. maby check them.

Vibration is coming from the trans, had it looked at, being told the trans is about to go, not even 100k on the truck, maybe 80k. Does anyone have mudmans number?
