employment applications

any one notice that the amount of information being asked on employment applications is getting excessive? their asking things now that aren't even work related or things that they don't really have any business asking....

Alot of places are even pulling credit report to attempt to acess a persons carachter...there is a big pool of people looking for work so they can afford to be choosy right now!

Yes there is weird stuff being asked on applications now,  One application i filled out asked "how many burgers can you eat in one sitting" how is this suppose to relate to my job?  Plus i do not have work experense right now as i worked under the table all summer.. so thats a big X on the application.

I just got offerd a job on sunday. i have never fill out job application for a job yet. only for office poeple to have your info.

The last 2 interviews I got I didnt even fill out a app. they called me from careerbuilder.com LOL
