I ran a mated np208 to a divorced 200 got like 4.?:1 reduction. I ran a really short drive shaft between the two

so do you just run output to input? and what about linkage?

Usually one will bolt to the trans like normal, the other one is bolted desperate ( divorced) with a short drive shaft between the two) as for linkage.... most that I have seen has been manual.
Manual meaning that in order to change it, you have to crawl underneath and push or pull the pins manually.
