diesel wont shut off

i got a 94 f450 with a 7.3 it wont shutoff with the key had to pinch a fuel line to get it to shut off. what could make it do this??

nope it just sits there and idles when i turn the key to off then i have to get out open the hood and pinch the fuel line near the airfilter to get it to shut off

it started at the end of fall and the truck hasnt been used since its my porta john truck but now its about time to start doing porta johns again and need it to get it ready for this year

there's electric solinoid that shuts the fuel off when the key is turned off, I'd bet that's bad but I can't tell you where it's at on a ford try googling fuel shut off 94 7.3

Me and a buddy was just talking about this. I wasn't the same truck but it was doing the same thing. It was the ignition that was bad. They tried a bunch of other stuff and then found out it was the key cylinder that was bad. Hope you figure it out good luck

Find the fuel shut off solenoid and take a meter to it. If it gets power and don't work then change it. If its not getting power then its probably the ignition switch

on a ford? probably in the scrap yard with the rest of them.

Ummm I would assume somewhere near the injection pump or maybe even in it.

Any of this stuff on there? The 1st thing is a positive air shut-off, the 2nd is what youre lookin for but Idk if thats the one thats on your truck or not,the 3rd one should be what your lookin for
