this morning I got the front axle debracketed and the lowers tacked on now gotta get steel for upper truss. I don't have battery's for the camera so after work tomorrow I'll stop and get some so I can get a couple pics.

Hey stumbled across a cheaper company for shocks and such chek out profendersuspension.com if I would have found them sooner I would have bought them for my truck but maybe next year

I thought I sent ya the link for them? I got a set of there 14x2.5's for the front, they didn't have any 16's in stock at the time. Plus when I bought mine they had a 20% discount at the time  They seem to be nicely made even use a 9/16" bolt instead of the normal 1/2".


I really need to get up some new pics. The cage is basically done just gotta so the steering column mount, brake pedal mount, passenger seat brackets, and pull it out to finish weld. Shock mounts are at least tacked in some are finish welded. But it's getting closer I think Alex posted a pic or two on his facebook I'm not on there so I can't look

Well I gotta get pics and get them posted but here's a little update

done:
cage
suspension (just gotta air up shocks)
brakes
seats
seatbelts (5point driverside, lapbelt passenger but have brackets welded in for 5point)
shifters (tcase & trans both cable operated)
wire harness
drive shafts
fixed yoke 208

almost done:
steering (need hoses and reservoir)
dash (make and mount a couple braces)
fuel system (just need line from pump to regulator)
battery mount (got mount cut out just gotta go bend it up)

things to do:
Paint
repair front clip and get installed
mount and plumb cooling system and fan
build engine box
build new air box for carb
fill both diffs, tcase and trans
change oil

There was one major step forward this weekend, I fired the motor for the first time since I pulled it in the garage for this project. The only problem when that happened was tranny fluid went all over because I fogot about the tranny lines

it felt verrry stable till the 42 let loose but seriously it felt great and the faster I went the less I felt the bumps the air shocks soak up the bumps great..

Got a few things left to do: finish engine box, get new battery I think mine's got a dead cell or a bad battery cable/conection somewhere, make doors or modify mine to work?, either prime the hood or quick paint job so it looks better, make a coller so the sway bar can't walk side to side (did today), clean carb.

over all I'm verry happy with it so far.
