This would work if it were a week long band but one day will not make a difference. Its not the middle east thats driving up the cost of crude oil its the oil companys themselves. Takes one day to jump up .30 cents but takes 6 months to drop back down.

Not entirely true. While what goes on there does effect the cost of oil, the main cause of rising prices is the buying power (value) of the US dollar. Its value has decreased 98% since 1913 when the federal reserve/central bank took over our currency.

Gas prices compaired to the value of silver (as it used to be) you can get a gallon for 2 dimes.

Yup! Unfortunately, not everyone is in the poorhouse and feels this pinch, so everyone is not gonna be onboard for the boycott. There are too many that just live with it, roll over and pee on themselves no matter what the injustice is. One or two guys cant fight the system, but if we could get everyone together we would have somethin. Nothin ever gets changed till it affects the fatcats, then youll have some action. They got us poorboys down to where we cant hardly even go anywhere, much less get organized against them!!

Its Obamas fault he has done everything in his power to stop oil drilling in this country. I say drill for new oil any where we can find oil on American soil and stop buying it from overseas then the price will drop. Instead Obama keeps saying we need new renewable energy. Thats a crock of there is no such thing, can't be done.

There is one atleast... HEMP... the oil from it can make fuel and it can also be used in place of steel and wood in many places. unfortunately its illegal to grow in the USA.

I do agree on the drilling here. Theres no point in stressing everyone over gas prices if "supply" is the real issue....

I believe that was the intention, direction (read corp. fat cats) flows from the top down to us little people.. we in turn create and consume the product that allows the cash to flow back up to the fat cats..
Government can cooridinate with the fat cats.. we'll save you, but you need to slow way down to pinch the little folks to the point of dependancy.
they in turn support us.. allowing for the continued cash flow back up, but it's under their control.. and now, so are we..
