Floor jack

Who makes a good hydraulic floor jack now a days? I have a craftsman 4 ton right now and its about to take a dump. I was just wondering who makes a decent jack that will last more then a few yrs at a reasonable price.

nobody. seems they all suck lately. i buy the craftsman aluminum ones, they arent the best, but i always have to carry it around, and lighter is nice.

if you can, get ahold of a snapon jack   its a tad on the heavier side but itll take whatever you can throw at it

Ace hardwear,  has one  one pump lift to you truck then like a normal jack.  i had  mine for  5  yrs  now  no trouble.  $99  3 tom

I got a big red 3.5 ton from sams club for 80 bux... sounds cheesy i know but i beat the hell out pf it and it takes it good. Or find an old snap on YA 700 jack... they last forever.

I also have one, it lets down faster than I care for but still works good and holds up for a long time, it was only $80

x2 Ive had one for 5 years now and no problems yet, I use it almost everyday   never had to add fluid and no leaks knock on wood  lol
and yes the tend to drop hard but mine has been used a lot and I can drop it smooth as butter.


I also got a jack that was my grandpas idk the brand  but its old as hell  but its by far one the best jacks Ive ever used... they dont make stuff like used to

I couldn't tell ya the brand off the top of my head but I bought a 3 ton from carquest back in 1996 for my stepdad (really it was for me) still works pretty good,

Right there in the garage where ya use it at. Just take it apart and go get some new seals, mostly o-rings.

my grandpas old sears holds up better than any of my other jacks, I just wish it reached a tad higher
