Anyone knoe much about the remington 887 nitro mag? Im gonna buy a new shotgon and im lookin at the nitro mag but have heard a lotta bad things. My second choice would be an 870 express super mag.

They said buy something you can afford... so i bought a FORD

Nothing junk abt my 887. I killed a lot of birds with it last year and a couple deer too.

It's got a larger grip than most shotguns and feels awkward at first, but I really like the fact that everything is armor coated for less corrosion. Don't get me wrong, it will rust, just not as easily as the new bluing they use on most guns. The only thing I would tell ya is when unloading your gun, watch pinching your hand between the pump part and the pump release. If you want to shoot one, you can run some rounds through mine...

And they slam fire. I had two of them come back to gander mtn that did this. Remington would not fix.

Yea i know that u cant go wrong with an 870, but ive heard mixed things on the 887. Thanks for the info, im gonn keep doing my homework on other guns too. And 989150 maybe if im ever in your area ill take u up on that. Ill even bring the shells!! Thanks guys. Also does anyone know if they sell the 887 as a combo like they do for the 870?

never delt with the 887 but I own 2 870's  my dad own's 2 and my brother own's 1 we haven't had a single problem or complaint about ANY of them I wouldn't hesitate to buy another now that I think about it I do need one with a pistol grip loll

I highly recomend you just go with 'ol reliable and get the 870

Hard to beat the reliability of the 870, both of mine have been through hell and back and still always go boom, boom, boom
