looking for some help with my 6.5, kind of new to diesels, getting a code p0251 which is a fuel metering circut a.   I heard it could be the ECM, (which i dont think so because it will eventually start) the IP which i could see that kind of being it, since the van has 350k miles on it, the PMD which was doomed from the day it was made, or a crank sensor?

ok so now heres the run down, i was driving to work, and it died, wouldnt start, cranked for a bit, and i figured screw it, gave it about 1/4 throttle and it popped off, so it makes me think the crank sensor maybe? i know on my GAS van when the CPS went out it needed the fuel to be pushed to get it started? any diesel techs out there mind shedding a little bit of light on my problem here? thanks for the help guys, as always :)

check out dieselplace.com thats where I go with all my diesel questions.. I would say the IP with that many miles on it the low sulfur diesel probably finally got to it. Alot of them are adding a bottle of 2 stroke oil at fill ups to avoid burning up pumps.
