carb selection

So in the k5 I have a 350 .30 over, .10 under on crank rod and main journals.  Arp bolts, trw flat top forged pistons, crane cam with .244 duration, .050 on the exhaust and .510lift, 2.02 world sportsman heads, 1.91 manley valves with .550 max lift, comp cam roller rockers and trickflow push rods, and an edelbrock performer manifold, and 2in carb spacer. .  Right now I'm running a 750 vaccum secondary, but I'm thinkin of gettin a newer carb.  Do I need a 750 dp?  Or would the 780 truck avenger work better?  This truck sees street, mud, and trails.  Don't want it to load up, but the motor dosnt make much vaccum with the big cam.  Any imput guys??  ++peace ++peace

one thing you have not said is what size  converter?

I got 719.  Where does this formula come from?

I got it from a how to build horsepower book.. Its what I use to get mine always round up though. So you need a 750. Mine needs a 830

I knew I needed a 750 already.  The question is do I need a dp or vaccum secondary?  If I get another vac sec it will b the truck avenger

In a boggeri would always run  dp mechanical secondary... The throttle response is far better than vacuum

Will the douple pumper load up while trail riding?  I bog this truck, trail ride this truck, and also drive this on the road.....and no gas mileage isn't a concern loll

you can run any carb on any motor, you just need to set it up for that motor!!   do you thank you will ever  build a bigger motor, some time soon if so thank around 800cfm.

I don't have an answer for your question as I don't know carbs at all.

But I wanted to add... buy/build for what you have now.  Don't do something that isn't the right answer for something that may come in the future.  Unless you are goingto build a bigger motor this summer, get a carb that suits your motor right now.
