SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) was shot down! They got so many emails on the day of the vote that it locked the servers up.

I guess that wasn't good enough, they are back at it again. CISPA!- the Cyber Intelligence Sharing & Protection Act- Introduced by Mike Rogers (R-MI) is the same idea re named and sent back up. Same motives. Same BS. Take a few minutes out of your day and email your representatives your thoughts on this!

you can use this link to look up your rep's via your address & zip code. It also had a premade email you can look threw/alter send or whatever. https://action.eff.org/o/9042/p/dia/action/public/?action_KEY=8444
If you have Twitter there is this option.. http://cyberspying.eff.org/

We already know Justin Amash (R-MI) will be opposing it 100% :) but if he is your rep you can send him a email anyways just to back his decision.

"We should never underestimate the federal government's insatiable desire to control the Internet. CISPA represents an alarming form of corporatism as it further intertwines governments with companies like Google and Facebook, It permits them to hand over your private communications to government officials without a warrant, circumventing the well-known established federal laws like the Wiretap Act and the Electronic Communications Privacy Act. It also grants them broad immunity from lawsuits for doing so, leaving you for without recourse for invasion of privacy. We can only hope the American people will respond to CISPA as they did with SOPA back in January."
