Curious who has done this, i have some questions like- what heads did u use, what intake, headers, cam, etc etc. I already havr a lumpy cam in my 400, im curious if i can use my 400 aluminum intake or if ill need something different.

I was checking into it a bit before. Theres alot of  info about it on ford460.com  or 351clevland.net I do know you have to rework the intake to make it work on the heads port matching mainly or get adapter plates. you want the 4 barrel heads there closed chambers. most of the 2 barrel heads are open chamber heads  and without any quench pad are prone to detonation but there are australian closed chamber 2 barrel heads my uncle has a couple sets of em. good luck with the search   ++peace

not all 4bl heads are closed chambers, there are open chambers to that are 4bl heads.

Yea i see that there are several variations of each head, 2bbl or 4bbl. Im continuing my research, i think itll be a cool project since my 400 is pretty tight. Ill definitely check out 460ford tho, i know theres a lotta info there. We have a chassis dyno at work, so im thinkin ill do a couple pulls before and after and maybe start a project thread about the buildup.

Yea i read about that too, i saw some serious power made on a fairly stock motor with those pistons. Thats another option on my list haha
