Thinking about getting the bike endorsement...   what do you ride and what do you get for MPG?

I got looking into bikes a couple years ago and wanted a 01-04 suzuki bandit 1200 w/ the round headlight. Anyone had one?

I had a 2001 Ninja 500. MPGs were in the 60s.

It's all about displacement.

Got my eye out for a Suzuki Intruder 700 or 800 now.. 80's threw newer. Seeing nothing but good reviews and anywhere from 50-70mpg.

MPG was how I talked the ole' lady into another bike..
did the math..
60 miles a day round trip..

in the truck @ 15 mpg..

once I purchased the next bike.. FLHTPI.. 35 - 40 mpg if I can keep from twistin the wick too hard.. (no..I cant')

I saved enough in gas to make an entire years payments on it..
I ride on avg. 6K miles per year.

Over the Edge Sharpening systems, cutlery, shear, scissor sharpening

It's all fun and games till someone gets knocked up.. down or out !
Gone postal.. back in a minute!

ilikebigtrucks

i ride an 81 yamaha xs1100 and get about 120 to 4 gallon

suggate

I have a 96" Harley electra glide and get45 easy 50 if I take it easy

yeah I'm torn between picking up a year or two old econobox or a bike. Just see what I come across first I guess. I know I did the math and the suburban would cost 2.26 a hour out of my pay for the trip, the car is 1.14. My goal is to get under a dollar a hour so its not like I took a pay cut ==roll

A paid off big block is cheaper than a gas sipper with payments--for a while. I cannot wait to get my Silverado paid off so I can stop paying $120 a month on insurance.

I have to disagree going from the suburban to the car saves me 350 a month. not looking for a payment anyways. atleast not more than a cpl thousand  at the most.
