1996 gmc sierra motor issues

i dont know if anyone can help me i have a 96 gmc sierra z71 the truck idles well andyou could say drives good but the issuei dont know the answer to is when i go to take off it hesitates and doesnt wanna make up its mind obout taking off i herd from a couple of my buddies different things that it could be the timing or could be the shift sylenoids or the torque converter but the transmission was just rebuild with new clutch plates and i beleive a new torque converter because it lost 1st gear its got alot of miles and i just wanna get it running like it should if you know anything abut this let me know thankyou

is it revving up but not taking off right or is the engine not reving right away when you put the gas down?

did it do it before the transmission was rebuilt?

try feul pump mine did the same not to long ago new pump and filter and i was good to go
