The Rebel...79 F250

Well this is more of a rebuild and upgrade thread. I finally got sick of just thowing parts at it to make it just good enough to run. Its time to do it right. Its a 79 F250 with a 30 over 460. Dana 60s front and rear, new 44 hawgs. After hours of searching i found some 35 spline trac loc side gears and some 30 spline open diff gears. This allowed me to switch ring gears and put the trac loc in front and weld the open for the rear. Ran it like that once and broke the front pinion yoke. Thats when I decided to do a tear down.

Its going to get paint (no clue what color yet), and 5.13s. Moving the radiator to the box where the fuel tank and batteries are. Im going to go hei distributer and single wire alt so I can eliminate all the wires and make my own much simpler harness. Electric water pump also. I think at this point I am going to leave the motor alone, other than some new paint (but who knows). Getting rid of the stacks and going uprights. (gonna miss the stacks though!)

Didnt get as much done as I would have liked. Got the bedliner painted in and got a few brackets ready for paint. Im gonna do one more coat of bedliner tonight and hit those brackets with paint tonight. Cant wait to see what the color is gonna look like!
