I want to try to be a master chief. I thinking when my 4 yr contract is up sign up for the next 16 and have fun doing it... And the reason i joined to be a machinist is because my dad has been in a machine shop since high school, my uncle owns lp products and quite a few people in my family are machinist and its something i know and something i like

Sounds like the way to go, especially if you already know what you're doing. make sure ya have fun!

I joined to be a machinist mate

cool cool  I was a aviation machinist mate :)
AD2 here, have alot of friends who were machinist mates---they now work in power plants as boiler operators making fat cash. As far as the girl, it's better you found out now. Succeed in boot camp (great mistakes, or the orlando beach resort) go to A school, then focus on that girl or any other that crosses your "bow".

just remember......the world is a big place.............there's lots more women out there besides her!!!

Think of it this way..............better she told you now................than when your 3000 miles way (or more) .............cause that shitt has happened ALOT  with peaple serving in the military and their "significant other"  either cheating on them back home.......or sending them letters saying they want a divorce or calling the relationship off.

military service can be a curse for a relationship......the one being left behind has no one to talk too when their down and out, they're left completely alone.........no one to give their affection to......................and honestly......I can see why some people would be forced to stray from their partner in situations like that.......

Been there, done that! Dear John letters suck! Look at it this way, now you dont have to worry if shes screwing around on ya when your gone. Live up that single life! It only happens once!

x1000 You fixin to see stuff you never saw before, and ya probably gonna like it too ==roll
