just wanting more info on doing it with dana axles or 2.5 tons like to talk to someone thats done it thanks for any info ++peace

ya putting engine in the back of my truck close to center as possible just want to know how to correct the drive line and ways other people have done it to much info can be good sometimes

If u use dana axles just flip them upside down, and u can use your automatic transmission and transfercase but the ring and pinion will be a weak point because its turning backwords

I think 2.5 tons require machine work which I've heard is pricey. Or you get a scs reverser which is also pretty pricey lol.

dont think flipping the axles would work well because the cases wouldnt oil well enough dont need any weak links

i have done 3. have a 59 ford panel truck right now that is rear engine and the axles are flipped. have never had lube problems. another way you might try is to put the engine in tight to the cab trans and transfercase attatched and drive shaft leads down to another tranfercase that then feeds the axles in correct manner...
