Don't be afraid of sand   loll

just be safe and always look out for other vehicles especially trucks and buggies.... you can see them a hell of alot better than they can see you. just pay attention, there are spots where is only one way, and you get the occasional jack wagon that goes the wrong way, It's been a couple years since i been out there, but the cool thing is that it is always changing.   ohh and bring a bunch of water.... it tends to get pretty hot :)

I don't know your skill level on a bike sooo...

be careful riding on sand if you never have before, wet sand is ok as it is hard, but dry sand is whole other beast loll  one minute you could be floating along just fine on it and then the next your getting sucked into and down ya go.

I always like to plan for how the bike will act in the sand as Im approaching something but always expect something else.... I've seen expert riders out there fall for no apparent reason  loll    your guna fall, it happens, well it happens to me at least once every time I go there.   but as long as your not going real fast or 50' in the air you'll be alright.  I've noticed it happens more when your going slow or coming to a stop or when you stop.

there have countless times when i have stopped and put my foot down and it sinks down and you do a slow motion tip over and everyone laughs cuz you look like a cow tipping  but its all good it happens to everyone.

ohh and Idk what kind of air filter you are running stock box is ok, but recommend a good air filter like k&n or something that will catch more particles than a stoke one.   If you are running without a box and have a open filter or cone type, get the screen or foam to go around it..... sand in your engine is a big no no lol

ok thank you i have been riding my hole life but never in sand and i herd from a friend that when turning keep on the gas and make wide sweeping turn and to jet my bike up a lil bit so it will get more gas and put less stress on the motor because it will get more fuel

The faster you go the easier it is, to stay up and to turn, staying on the throttle while turning helps keep the front up, air your front tire down, seen a guy out there on the 4th with full psi in the front and he looked like a snake slithering in the sand!!  Unless your making a sharpe turn, you pretty much lean the bike in the direction you wanna go, and front brakes are used very little, as they tend to bury the front tire in the soft sand and throw you off balance, especially at low speeds

Sunscreen!!!  and a big bag of common sense.

n' slow down when cresting test hill (all 4 of them) the wind has created a nice drop off at the top that'll have you 20' up in a split second.

was there just 2 wks ago, saw a guy in an F350 quad cab high center it off the top.. all 4 wheels off the ground.
