I have a mathews q2 kinda older like 10 years. Went today and put some money down on the new helim. Just so happened there was a guy there with the same bow i wanted all set up same draw length and he was kind enough to let me shoot. It. I fell in love. Cant wait for october

Just picked up a new Barnett Ghost 400 crossbow.  Now before y'all start callin me a pu**y for not buyin a compound I gotta say, if it wasn't for the fact I blew my shoulder out liftin weights with guys that are bigger than myself I would still be rockin the old hand me down Darton!  And I have to say I don't have the easy draw setup yet but will definitely be gettin it in the near future.  This thing is a bear to pull with the string.

Nothin against crossbows! Whatever puts meat in the freezer! I personally have a strong upper body and these new bows will shoot just as far i love em. Nice crossbow i was lookin at em and decided to stick with a compoind

My buddy bought a new Matthews last year and its hittin about 330fps, so now I make fun of him cause my ghost is hittin 400fps. he went with me to Cabelas and I let him get a shot off and he thought it had missfired or somethin.  It took him a min to figure out the bolt was already in the target!  Lol.

Yea they have a lot of fps but it also drops off a lot faster where the compounds hold it longer

Well the guy at Cabelas told me they're all about the same, they don't start to drop til about 40-45 yrds.  Which is fine cause I probably shouldn't be tryin ti shoot anything that far away anyway.

Yea i see guys on them shows shootin deer at like 65 yards but i dont shoot as much as they do lol

ive got a horton crossbow luv it but wish i could still shoot a compond bow but them days are gone just glad i still can get in the woods  i got mine sighted in at 50 yds and i know what the bolts do so im confident at that yardage

Just bought a Mathews Feather Max from Hammerlane. Excited to use it. Last 2 years been using an old bear magnum .44, prior to that I had an old black bear that I used since '95 lol.
