If you doing just a mild build I would stick with the msd box. It would be a little cheaper. The only thing I don't like about the ls motor is that most can only be bored once

ya thats just for the cover adap.. still need the diz  set up and 100 in wires...lol

as i do more lookin i can get more from the inj set that the other way for way way cheaper

for now just goin put a biger cam and run the stock rot. ass... goin chep for now

see one of the diff between the 4.8 and the 5.3 is that the 5.3 has dished pis and the 4.8 has flat tops.. bore is the same so with the 5.3 with dished im at 9.5  .1 so if i put stockers from the 4.8 that sholud put me near 11  .1 ??? right

not sure yet .. the prob was got hyd locked and bent rod.. ever thing else is good to go.. orderin a  rod out of a "pull out" tomarow.. not sure if ill have to be re balenced???? nut if it dose the piston will change for sure

sold one last spring on Craigslist for 100 bux heads intake no injectors

But the 4.8 has a different stroke but can't remember if the rods are the same. I would make sure the piston pin height is the same. So you don't put that piston right into the head lol if your just doing a cam upgrade I would stick with injected but you were talking about stroking it.

didnt think that !! rod are dif

just goin together for now....might come back apart next fall  if all works like i plan.. which never happens

see it easier for inj .. its goin in a 97 s10

ice87

Yeah I would just do a cam upgrade and keep everything else pretty much stock. In a s10 it should be fun anyways. They don't weigh much.
