ive lived in flints north east side all my life ive seen friends back in the day get jumped off our school bus ive ben broken into more than one i have a home security system hand guns shot guns rifles and what not. The people should not fear its government, the government should fear its people. The second amendment wasn't written for hunting. It was written to protect the citezens from a tyranical government. I own an AK and an AR I'm not a scumbag. I beleive in freedom and the right to protect my family my home and myself against tyrany and intruders alike.

i understand people not wanting their gov to take away their guns but the founding fathers also made it so the constitution could be amended...because they realized they didn't know everything and couldn't possibly predict the future so they left an out clause. sane people need shot guns and rifles to hunt...not ak-47's and glock's....those type of people more often than not are the scumbags that r killing your families and importing all the drug which leads to more crime and violence...if u can't see a pattern and a way to fix it is limit these types of guns they i pray karma gets your family before some azzwipe with a gun gets mine.

There is nothing wrong with owning a semi automatic AK47 its no more dangerous than say a ruger mini 14. I actually hunt deer up north with mine. I slap in a 5 round mag and go hunting get home slap in the 30 rounder now I'm ready to take out the ignorant s.o.b.'s that tries to walk in my door and and harm me or my family. BTW there is no such thing as a civilian owned assault rifle. Automatic firearms were banned in 1986 now there are just semi auto look a likes.

Rose my right hand at the wise old age of 18, given a $250K monstocity of a vehicle, an AR15 (FULL AUTO capable), 60 rounds ammo, a 203 grenade launcher, 5 grenades and the authority to kill..and swore to god that I would defend my country and it's people from all enemy's both foriegn and domestic.. trained in the use and handling of multiple firearms from pistol to ring mounted 50 cal., a varity of explosives, hand to hand combat and edged weapons.

almost 50 yrs on this planet, home OWNER, husband, father of 3, no criminal record, an honorable discharge, 16 yrs employed with the same company rounding out a 30 yr career in a federally regulated industry (accident free at that!)

Do I believe I have a right to assault weapons  yep, sure do.. I believe I have proven to be a trustworthy enough individual with the morals, integrity and common sense required to own such a weapon, keep it secured, teach those in my presence about the dangers and proper handling of such tools and if I get the urge to loose a few rounds in a manner that is respectful of those within the rounds distance once fired.. yea, I think I have earned that right !!

Now don't hold me to this but i was pretty sure as long as it was manufactured before 1986 you can leagaly own a fully auto weapon with the proper back ground checks and permits. Now if you want to own a new shiny m-4 or something that is fully auto you have to be police or military. Or pay an annual permit fee that is big money and have all sorts of background checks and finger prints and register it through the state and federal government. I'm sure there is even more that you have to do.

Yea, 73nut is correct, the rate of fire (auto/semi) dictates how the weapon is classified.  and Uncle sam will run a microscope up your butt for a class 3 for sure.

first off, if I'm using a shotgun for (self) HOME defense its a pump all day long,
secondly, they are pushing magazine capacity.. more than 6-10 rounds, that covers every pistol I own.. think about it.
third.. cost of ammo is being pushed by default.. due to the rising costs of ammo.. Do Not Expect a warning shot!!

In My Opinion:
Since "We the people"  ARE the militia (in my interpretation) then YES.. constitutionaly I have the right to arm myself against my enemies.. and if they have autos.. I believe I have that same right.
however: where do you draw the line in the sand.. not sure I want to store nuclear warheads in my basement.
and don't truely believe everyone in the country has/deserves that right.

If your a mentality stable law abiding citizen there's no reason why we can't  have them rather it be for home defense witch i prefer my mossy 500 short barrel pump or sporting or hunting. I have owned 2 ak clones 1 saiga 5.56 1 rommy wsr10 with a under fold stock. I have a Israeli fal heavy barrel  and several other combat style guns i never had a single legal problem so why should it be wrong for me to have them? I use mine to teach most people that come here how to use them properly. A fire arm is only as dangerous as the person holding it.  I agree some people dont need these type of weapons but citizens with no criminal or mental history why not that single shot .22 in my safe is as deadly as the fal. 308 is in wrong hands just my opinion. Ill use every firearm in my arsenal to defend my family and my country right down to my last piece of brass. I love my country but this is getting out of hand

Too many guns? That's like too much money. There's no such thing. Lol. I've read this fienstien ban through its entirety. They not only want to ban magazines that have the capability to hold more than 10 rounds they also want to ban anything with a detachable magazine. So all semi auto pistols. Rifles with mags even if they only hold 5 rounds.  We will be down to revolvers pump shotguns break action shot guns single shot rifles and shotguns and bolt action rifles with an enternal mag. Oh and semi auto rifles and shotguns with enternal mags.

The way that band is wrote it sounds like a moron that probly never seen  the guns on the list.  The list says a sks is fine with it charge fed 10 round fixed mag but you put a detachable mag on it its a no no. I dont believe they will be able to take them away but you better believe there going to push mag capacity   because they can besides between the ammo prices and scarcity of it lately thats just another control method. Man im starting to sound like a conspiracy theory lately. Bottom line i believe it should be are write to own a "assault rifle " even thow everyone i own is classified as a sporting rifle being none of them have select fire capability witch would make it a assault rifle. I don't think any weapon should be registered with the government. Now if the courts rule that a gulity person can not own a weapon, or a certian weapon and the person is caught with said object, it should be punishable. But to require every individual to register their property with a government anywhere is never a good idea.

But then again... I don't understand building permits or mariage licenses either.

Why do we need permission for everything we do? Doesn't sound very free if you ask me.

I will never tell "the man" what I do or don't have.  butt out!
