99 siverado multipli miss fire help

well guy at work got a 99 silveradp with a 4.3

miss when diving the miss shakes the vehicle... code say   multi cylinder miss fire,  cad bank one low ,  then latter the multi  miss went away, read only cyl 2 miss fire .. then back

done cap, rotor, coil, coil mod., plug, wires, over the week en and didnt help...

any   idears        i thought it was out time on the dist..  but this is to new for me???

I had the same code on my 2002 chevy 5.3 made my cel flash I replaced cOils plugs and wires and it was still there i asked around and I found out it was the cats bc they were plugging up sO I cut them off and haven't had the code come back yet. It also made my truck shift really weird when I would go balls out. It would get to 4500 rpms and hold right there till I let off.

cleaned cats out already the last time this happen bout 6 mon ago...

ther is a box on the top of the intake, where fuel lines go and a big plug in with a 16 terminal set up.... anyone know what this is ...                                                     

lol  with out seeing it...

just found out that that box was full of water, from the rain other day, because there is a piece of weather stip missing above it

my 98 tahoe was doing that it has a 5.7 vortec      it ended up being the cam or crankshaft sensor dang it one of the two been awile ago   but  it was really random and vehical shook hard when it did it

^^^^^did that sensor pop up on the computer? .. i dont know all that much with these new sensors and crap...



is there a way of testing that sensor???

never hooked up to scaner bought it from a friend.  it did same thing to him so it was secound time it was replaced. dont think u can test it i just changed it problem solved. sry i cant be more help.

nope ..gave him lots ideas.. but he has to have it every day and he short on cash so hes just limping through
