Single again, no suprise, seen this coming. Anyways, question, I got home and my puppy is gone, well.. 7 month old puppy and so is all the paper work saying shes mine. Can she take the papers and have them switched to her name before I have a chance to do anything about it?

whats the best course of action here?  Shes going to say I don't have proper housing (she took the other kennel) but still, its my dog. My older hound seems to be enjoying the little vacation from the puppy but I'd still like her (the puppy) back.... ==doh

I'd report the dog as stolen.   Possibly Breaking and Entering as well........if you didnt want her there

She will just say the dog is hers, youve got no proof its yours, right? Like a receipt where ya bought it? Bank statement that shows you givin the $$ to the original owner? Youd have to take her to civil court, small claim suit. I doubt cops would do anything.

Well the bills and all that for shots and etc are in my name at the vet, but thats the paperwork she took, the dog is registered on Home Safe and microchiped, all should be in my name. But all the info for ALL of that she took.

If she ever got mail there then shes a legal resident of that address according to MI law, but I think he's buyin the place and I dont think she was around when he got it..

Brown Cow

Go to the vet and have them get you copies of all the paperwork then call police

only if on the rental agreement. I can put any address on my license, and have my address changed thru the post office, doesnt mean i live there.
had a guy living with me, didnt wanna pay rent, so i put his crap outside. not much he could do besides take his crap and leave, all because he didnt have paperwork ;D and he was getting mail, and had an id that said he lived there for a year...

She never had anything with my address on it. I think we reached a randsom amount. Fingers crossed should have the dog back tonight.
