I've used Ubuntu, Xubuntu, Jolicloud, SuSe, Mandriva/Mandrake, DSL, Android and Red Hat.

the first 3 are probably the best Linux distros out there for beginners, I especially like that you don't have to compile programs into the OS like you used to...

yep thats what im talking about, now im just trying to get utorrent to work, but they dont have an "install" or a gui that goes with it, you have to go to a local host site to get what you want.

I had no problem with uTorrent, downloading that is, never tried uploading...

tcb

I just wish I could watch Netflix with it.

dsJeep

true, I think its B.S Netflix won't support Moonlight (Linux version of Silverlight), sad too because you can watch Netflix on Android which is a Linux OS.

last I heard they have no plans to ever support Linux.

lilred

if android is linux and the computer is linux... shouldn't take long for someone to come up with a program of their own... ???

dsJeep

people have come up with ways to watch Netflix on Linux, Netflix keeps blocking it though, Netflix also works on Linux based set top media boxes like Roku and is available for Chrome OS.

Netflix claims its because Linux does not support DRM and people could steal media from them, though it would be easier to do in Windows than Linux.
