In process of installing a full in cab cage right now.. With seats and harnesses..

I would NEVER run 4 point harness without a true full cage again!  I had a roll bar with a T that went toward the front windshield in my Figure 8 car with racing seat and harness.  when i rolled it came down hard on the front driver corner of the roof, crushing it waaay down.  The roof pinned my head right down to my chest, almost bit my tongue off cuz it was stuck between my teeth.  Couldnt get my mouth open to get it out  until  i released the harness. That fancy rear roll bar wont do anything  for ya in the wrong situation.. I would definitely not use those shoulder belts unless theres a real cage in.

Were you wearing a helmet? Sounds like a bad situation to be in, glad it wasn't any worse

Sure was, Nothing but a BELL!  Needless to say, after that race i added the rest of the cage in that corner.  But what i was running was accepted and typical of the rest  of the drivers too..
