so i picked up this 98 firebird from my in-laws a couple months ago. it is my new DD for work. has a 3800/auto, t-tops. had 84000 miles on it when I picked it up, now has over 92k.  For only havin the v6 it is really quick! so far its an ok car (i'm still more of a truck guy) but I did notice a few things wrong.  it started with the front pass. fender having a gap on the bottom and rubbing on the door at the top, then I noticed the hood on the driver side was a little lower than the fender, then I noticed the rear hatch has about a 1/2 to 3/4" gap on the driver side.  so today I went to the carwash and low and behold there was the proof I needed to say it was definitely in an accident or 2.  the paint was chipping off in a crease on the spoiler showing the shiny red paint that is not original to the car.  the downer to all that is I didn't get a deal on the car because my wife had already agreed to the 4k asking price which was middle of the road on kbb.  oh well, I'll just have to make sure she isn't in anymore vehicle negotiations!
