gm 10 bolt rear end ?

i have  10 bolt in a 86 2 wheeler and want to put the gear from a 84 suburban in it unknown if its 2 or 4 wheel or if that even matters  i was just wondering if there is a differents in spines or not

If it had a 2 number gear, you will need a spacer or diffefent carrier to use a 3 or numerically higher gear.  You could use it, but might be a 6 lug pattern if Splines are different

i have a 2.73 in mine know and the guy that has the 3.73 cut it between the pig and hubs i didnt ask if it was 2 or 4 wheel .
so your saying  i am better off not to mess with it  lol i an rear end dumb

No? See if your axles fit in it, probably both 30 spline.

I believe  if your axles don't fit, you could probably take your spider gears and put them in the other carrier

86 and 84 should both be 28 spline shafts.
