th350/700r4 tailshaft

I got a bad 700r4 n a good th350 both 2wd. does anyone know if u can put  the 700r4 tailshaft on the th350.  that way ill still have a speedo n can use,the same drivesharft. I know itlk b a lil diffetent length but according to my measurements that should b alright due to the truck bein a 91 ext cab so it has a carrier bearing where the slip yoke action should all take place during compression of the suspension.  any help would b,appreciated. thanks
