Tried to put the motor in the truck today. The oil pan is hitting the crossmember, which keeps the motor from sitting in the
Mounts.

You can see how close the holes are to lining up

The mounts ARE THE SAME SIZE AS STOCK. Wtf is the problem here?

bigger oil pan? aftermarket?

It is a deep sump pan. But I thought they were all the same up front? Any shorter the stroke will hit the pan?

try switching mounts left to right, if they arnt already marked...  also you could wobble out the holes on the mounts to make the mounts slide down further..... you could cut, notch and weld a chunk out of the cross member or... look inside the oil pan and see whats under there and maybe take some agression out on it with a hammer loll

I thought about denting the pan, but I have a 4.25" stroke. The crank is really close to the pan.

What's the difference in stock pans?

I thought there wasn't a difference. They look pretty centered.

Had the same problem when I did my v8 s-10 years ago. I switched the mount plats around and it lifted the mount holes up about 1''. Good luck!

You mean swap frame rail to frame rail? Or just flip them 180?

I measured it, and it seems to me 2.5" from center bolt to mounting bolt on both top and bottom?

old school truck dude

Unbolt the bottom halves of the motor mounts from the crossmember. Bolt the bottom halves to the top halves of the motor mounts with the long bolt. Bolt motor mount assemblies to sides of block. Raise engine with cherrypicker to clear crossmember. Put flat plate of correct thickness under mounts. Set motor down. Make sure pan is clear and dizzy aint hittin firewall, and motor is straight and level, and weld it all together. Been there done that many times. ;D
